Sending problem information to technical support

The support team requires you to collect information on how to reproduce your problem, along with technical information on your system, to work on a technical problem.

The following steps assume you have already followed the instructions about Turning on writing log files and Reproducing and describing a problem.

To send problem information to the support team

  1. Collect log file information from the log folder:
    1. Start Audials One. Go to Options > General . Click Open log folder to open the log file folder.
    2. Select all subfolders and combine them into one compressed file (zip file). See Windows 7 Help for further information.
  2. Drag all screenshots you have created to the compressed file to add them.
  3. Optional: Create a system information file and add it to the compressed file.

    2. Drag the system information file to the compressed file to add it.
  4. Open the support contact form at http://audials.com/contact/en and fill in the requested information. Amongst other things:
    1. Product name and version number: Open Options > General. Under group Product activation, click Info about installed version. The displayed About Dialog shows name and version number of your installed product on the first line.
    2. Summary of your problem and description on how to make the problem occur.
  5. Browse to the compressed file you have created in steps 1 to 3 and add it as attachment.
  6. Submit the contact form.
You will receive a confirmation e-mail within a few minutes. The support team then usually answers your request within 72 hours.

Questions and Answers

I have written an e-mail to the support team and still got not answer. What now?

Did you receive a confirmation e-mail within a few minutes after you sent your e-mail? If not, please check your e-mail and especially spam filter settings. Maybe the support's answer was misclassified as spam.

If you still got no support answer after a few days, something went wrong. We're sorry! Please try again. Make sure to check for any confirmation or error message during submitting the support form.
