10/25/10

German trade publication ComputerBild put Internet radio recording programs to the test in issue 23/2010 and Radiotracker emerged on top.

German trade publication ComputerBild put Internet radio recording programs to the test in issue 23/2010 and Radiotracker emerged on top. Radiotracker 6 Platinum beat out a field that included Radio.fx Pro 6.0, Winamp 5.58, Streamripper 1.6.4.6, Magix Webradio Recorder 5, Phonostar Player 3.0.18 and Chilirec 1.03.

Excerpts and Quotes from the test:

"Not only does Radiotracker pick up stations that broadcast music  in MP3 format, but receives stations that usa WMA, AAC or AAC plus. Another plus: if your MP3 player cannot play AAC files, you can set up Radiotracker to convert incompatible files into MP3 files. You can also narrow your search results to only include stations that broadcast in higher quality by setting a minimum data rate, e.g. 160 kbit/s. The icing on the cake: Radiotracker searches for album covers and song lyrics and then saves those files to the file itself.”

"Bottom line: The test winner is  Radiotracker 6 Platinum: For just 30 Euro, the software offers a wide spectrum of stations, excellent search functions and even locates album covers and lyrics for certain titles.”
